FAQS
I’m new, how do I catch up with existing choir repertoire?
Joining a choir with an existing repertoire can feel overwhelming, but there’s no rush, take your time and enjoy the process.
A great place to start is the “Active Repertoire: What We’ve Covered” button in the resources. This links to a Google Drive page where you’ll find:
- The songs we’re currently working on
- How much we’ve covered so far
- What we’ll cover in upcoming rehearsals
- Orange and dark orange songs indicate ones we’ve done before, which are good to focus on first
Your fellow choir members are always happy to help if you have any questions.
What if I miss a rehearsal?
If you miss a session there is no need to let us know, here’s how you can catch up:
Livestream Rehearsals – If you can’t make it in person, Megan streams rehearsals in a private Facebook group. Message her to be added: +44 7811 947895
Weekly Updates – Click the Active Repertoire button in the resources to see what we’re working on each week.
Guide tracks – Use the given guide tracks/lyric sheets in resources to practise at home
Can I change voice part?
Yes, if it feels a bit too high or low, you can move over we don’t mind at all!
I feel behind. Is that normal?
Very. Almost everyone feels this way at first, and it settles naturally. If you like, do check out the first FAQ ‘I’m new, how do I catch up with existing choir repertoire?‘ for help on how to catch up.
We’re really glad you’re here
