I Like Singing — Our Values
At I Like Singing, we believe in creating a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community where every member feels empowered to grow and contribute. These are the values that guide everything we do:
1. We meet people where they’re at, and we offer tools, resources, and encouragement to grow.
We aim to create a vibrant, shared experience where everyone feels supported and has the opportunity to take part in an active, welcoming community.
2. We handle mistakes with care, honesty, and grace.
We value calm, respectful communication and see mistakes as part of the process. When something goes wrong, we fix it quickly, own it openly, and thank those who help us catch it.
3. We create spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and invited to take part.
We listen when someone feels on the outside and take practical steps to build connection — through buddying, social events, and feedback. We believe belonging is a shared effort.
4. We celebrate what went well — and reflect with honesty so we can grow.
We know things don’t always go to plan. We focus on what we can learn and change, taking responsibility for our part, supporting each other, and moving forward with clarity.
5. We think creatively and say yes to bold ideas — as long as they feel like us.
We welcome playful, different, outside-the-box thinking. We stay true to our identity while looking for ways to make things possible, not reasons to shut them down.
6. We communicate with empathy, honesty, and fairness — even when things are tough.
We take concerns seriously, listen with care, and respond with clarity. We stay true to who we are while being open to feedback, and aim to resolve things kindly, honestly, and with mutual respect.
